Following Mark Dobson’s move to become Executive Director of the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, Tyneside Cinema now seeks a new Chief Executive to lead the delivery and future development of the Cinema and its business plan.
The Chief Executive is appointed by the Board to lead the organisation. The Chief Executive is responsible for policy, strategy, profile and performance, both cultural and commercial, of the Tyneside Cinema. They lead the development and implementation of the Cinema’s business plan in addition to building and maintaining significant external partnerships. They are responsible for strategic leadership of all resources: human, financial, administrative and physical. They will ensure revenue raising opportunities are maximised in support of the cultural programme and charitable objectives and ensure the long-term sustainability of the organisation.
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced senior manager in the cultural sector with a track-record of leading teams, experience in strategic and financial business planning and operational management; demonstrable success in generating income and profile and well-developed interpersonal skills. They will be passionate about film and about continuing to develop the role that Tyneside Cinema can play in relation to the sector at national and regional level.
