Contract: Part Time, Permanent
Salary: £38,145-£44,769 p.a. pro-rata, (Inclusive of LWA)
Trinity Laban is seeking a capable, experienced and dynamic lecturer to lead and deliver modules in specific subject areas of dance science at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. You should be actively engaged in the dance sector, with experience of lecturing at HE level. You will have a Masters degree or be close to completing it and/or have equivalent recognition and acknowledged standing as a researcher. Trinity Laban encourages staff to engage in research and scholarly activity.
Your application should identify your experience of teaching on HE programmes and your expertise on any of the subject areas listed below. The Lecturer/Module Leader will contribute to modules covering some of the following areas:
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Motor Skills Learning
- Movement and Technique Analysis in Dance (biomechanics)
- Performance Psychology
- Dance Education
- Training Needs and Strategies
- Applied Dance Science
- Research Methods
- Project/Dissertation supervision
You will have overall responsibility for the devising and delivering of modules within some of the areas identified above, providing lectures, workshops and providing resources to students on the dance science programmes. You will have responsibility to ensure these modules continue to be attractive and relevant, reflecting the evolving and current needs of the field, as well as maintaining currency in the wider field of undergraduate/postgraduate dance science education.
As an experienced lecturer, actively engaged in the sector, you will have prior experience in teaching in digital and in-person learning environments in Higher Education.
