Archived: Project Curator – Digital Dossier Programme
JOB CONTEXT
This role is responsible for delivering all curatorial involvement in projects under the Digital Dossier Programme, and act as Programme liaison with the Curatorial Department. The post-holder will provide all curatorial input into the DDP, without recourse to other curators save in very limited circumstances. The role will be dedicated to DDP activity, thereby minimising the impact of the programme’s deliverables on business continuity in the curatorial team, which is already committed to delivering several major strands in our ambitious bicentennial vision., as well as continuing as usual.
The role is flexible, blending both in-house and remote working.
JOB PURPOSE
This role is key to delivering our ambition to ‘build an online research resource and create a digital dossier that makes everything we know about our pictures available to everyone’.
The interdependent projects under this umbrella require a coordinated approach to delivery. The purpose of this post is to create and deliver all curatorial input to the various projects within the programme, across curatorial specialisms and without recourse to other curators save in very limited circumstances. The role will also act as quality assurance and have delegated sign-off capacity to alleviate the need to utilise business as usual staff for programme activities.
In addition, the role will require working with our third-party content partners, facilitating the editing and creation of image and text content, as agreed with the Head of Curatorial.
