JOB CONTEXT

This role is responsible for delivering all conservation involvement in projects under the Digital Dossier Programme. The post-holder will support the conservators, acting as a liaison point for project staff. The role is designed to support conservators working on the competing demands of delivering our ambitious bicentennial vision (of which DDP is one strand). The role will be dedicated to DDP activity, minimising the impact of the programme’s deliverables on business continuity in the Conservation team.

The role is flexible, blending both in-house and remote working.

JOB PURPOSE

The postholder will deliver Conservation’s input required by projects included in the first delivery phase of the DDP.

They will act as the Conservation liaison point, taking decisions and providing content and other material, and quality assurance, as required. They will have sufficient delegated authority to ensure that the DDP does not need to always call on existing staff for programme activities.

The role is key to the successful delivery of the DDP; managing the Conservation Department’s expectations as DDP stakeholders; and ensuring that colleagues – within the Conservation Department – can deliver their other commitments for the DDP, bicentenary, other projects, and day-to-day activities.
