An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Content Editor at The Audience Agency, one of the leading companies in the cultural sector.

Background to the post

Investing in valued content is a new priority for The Audience Agency, fulfilling an important aspect of our mission as an organisation, our aims for the Audience Finder project, and acting as the cornerstone of our communications strategy.

It is an exciting new post, the full scope of which the post-holder will shape within our strategic framework. S/he will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and have a strong understanding of company strategy.

The Audience Agency is becoming established as a leading voice in the sector, and the work of the Content Editor will be critical to its continued development as a respected source of insight, contributing to the development of policy and practice. In turn, their work will also help drive business growth.

The Audience Agency holds a rich bank of intelligence ranging from grass-roots understanding of practice and case studies to unique, in-depth audience data. The successful candidate will find narratives in this intelligence of value and interest to each of our cultural sector constituencies. S/he will also be proactive in anticipating hot issues and emergent ideas, both in the UK and worldwide, to which The Audience Agency can make a genuine contribution.

Content will feed a number of platforms, including online articles, newsletters, pieces in sector press, blogs and social media, and some promotional copy, all to an agreed schedule. The Content Editor will source content from TAA staff, external associates and contributors, as well ghost-writing and authoring their own content. S/he will also contribute to The Audience Agency events including workshops, the insight events programme, alongside external conference speaking opportunities.

Summary of Role

The Content Editor (Marketing Team) will work across the whole organisation to generate content for external use across all types of media including internal platforms and sector-wide conferences. They will help shape and raise the external profile of The Audience Agency in line with core purpose and business needs and will draw upon the expertise across the company.
