Soho Theatre

Archived: Development Director

London

Competitive Salary

Soho Theatre is London’s most vibrant venue for new theatre, comedy and cabaret.

It is a producing, non-profit theatre, located in the heart of the West End. Its distinctive, festival-like programme has a focus on new work with six shows a night, and a mixture of short 1 or 2 nighters through to 8 week runs. Its artistic policy champions brave new work which pushes boundaries and develops new audiences; and it runs education programmes to enable young people from the broadest backgrounds to participate.

In the last five years it has nearly trebled audiences and turnover, opening a successful new cabaret performance space, and developing the Soho Theatre Bar into a popular meeting place and destination in its own right. It has similarly ambitious plans for broadening its reach through touring, a new venue and a digital channel, Soho Theatre Live.

It receives regular funding from Arts Council England as part of their National Portfolio, as well as philanthropic support from trusts, foundations and private donors..

This is an exciting opening for a talented fundraiser who fully appreciates the opportunity to work collaboratively within a talented team. To excel in this role, you will be confident in your ability to develop relationships with high net worth individuals and relish the opportunity to work with a high performing, fully committed Board. Your track record in securing 5 or 6 figure gifts, and creating development strategy – from prospecting through to stewardship – will equip you to take an active role on the senior management team of the Theatre.
