Siobhan Davies Dance is an artist-led, international contemporary arts organisation, unique in the UK cultural landscape. We produce and tour the work of Siobhan Davies and commission new work from artists aiming to expand choreographic practice. Alongside this work we aim to offer a thought provoking programme of curated events, exhibitions and talks at our Studios in south London and engage and develop at all levels through our education and participation projects.
This role was created in 2013 to strengthen our artistic team, finding more opportunities to place our work in different contexts and connect with new audiences. The Programme Director works very closely with Siobhan Davies in the development of new works and is the lead producer for the organisation. The role seeks to translate Siobhan Davies’ vision into a strategic artistic programme around the new works as well as seeking prospective commissions and distribution opportunities. The ideal candidate will have good connections across contemporary culture and will bring their experience to broadening the reach of our work. They will be skilled and empathetic in working with a range of artists, to support and encourage their artistic ambitions.
This artistic producing role is generously supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
