Permanent position. Full time 35 hours per week.
Salary range circa £57k plus benefits, including flexible working environment and enhanced annual leave.

Shape is a disability-led arts organisation working to improve access to culture for disabled people. We develop opportunities for disabled artists, train cultural institutions to be more accessible to disabled people, and run participatory arts and development programmes. We have an exciting programme which includes multi-year projects and work with a wide range of leading cultural organisations and venues.
After 9 successful years Tony Heaton will be leaving his role in spring 2017. Now in our 40th year, Shape is looking for a capable and dynamic successor to implement our new business plan and vision for the future. The successful candidate will be an outstanding and talented individual who is committed to furthering the role of Shape and campaigning for disabled artists and participants. Ideally a disabled person or with significant understanding and knowledge of the barriers faced by disabled people, s/he will be passionate about promoting and improving disabled people’s rights and believe in the importance of the arts in society and in community life. The Chief Executive will be a distinctive leader in the sector who will continue to raise the profile of our work and lead the organization.
