Fixed term contract – Tour 2020
The RSC is looking for an experienced Sound Technician to join our 2020 UK tour of As You Like It, Measure for Measure and Taming of the Shrew, this position is offered as a fixed term contract from 6 January until 5 April 2020 (you must be able to commit your time for the whole duration of the tour).
The tour opens at the Barbican, London and will then travel to the following locations:
Concluding in Blackpool on 5 April 2020.
As the 3rd member of the touring sound team, you will be assisting with the get-in and get-out, setting up the orchestra and placing microphones. You will be running radio microphones for rehearsals and helping with video line up. You will also have show cover duties.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge and understanding of sound, communications and sound-related disciplines in a theatre environment, whilst on tour. You must be able to operate a Digico SD7 Desk and software and have general knowledge of communications, video and Q lights. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills.
You will be working 48 hours per week, 6 out of 7 days for the duration of the contract. Bank holidays are included in normal working time as is overnight working.
