The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour and one of the most important collections of its type in the world, housed at its headquarters and flagship museum in Leeds, its historic home at the Tower of London, and the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire.
CAN YOU TURN A VISION FOR TRANSFORMATION INTO REALITY? We are looking for an experienced and effective Head of Masterplan to ensure the delivery of a series of strategic capital projects to help transform and guarantee the future of the World’s oldest museum.
Your experience and insight, gained from successful project delivery at scale will enable for you to plan and deliver a complex programme within a sensitive and public facing operating context. Your understanding of risk, change management and governance will ensure robust and timely decisions are made, communicated and executed to guarantee success. Your background will give you a strong sense of the impact and importance of the Royal Armouries’ project outcomes and a passion to deliver them in a way that equality of access and promotes diverse and collaborative practice.
This position is a permanent contract, working full time, 36 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. Weekend, Bank Holiday and evening working will occasionally be required, as will some travel.
