An exciting opportunity has arisen in the form of the role of Step into Dance Lead Education Officer, based in our offices in Battersea.
Salary range: £25,500 – £28,500 pa
Contract type: 1 year fixed term contract (renewable) / Full time (34.5 hours per week)
The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is a dynamic organisation dedicated to advancing standards of dance education and teaching, and to promoting and investing in the development of dance worldwide. Through partnership with the Jack Petchey Foundation, the RAD provides an inclusive secondary school dance programme, Step into Dance, involving extra-curricular classes and performance opportunities (including SEND) in 200 schools across London and Essex.
We are looking for an exceptional Lead Education Officer to manage the programme and development of the Step into Dance Youth Companies and Ambassadors’ scheme, as well as overseeing the Step into Dance Arts Award provision and taking on the lead role as Arts Awards Advisor.
You will have substantial experience of working on an arts education project in an administrative capacity as well as experience in organising dance (or similar) activities or events. Experience of Arts award and working with children and young people in a responsible capacity are essential.
With a real commitment to top quality customer service, you will have sound interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. Excellent organisational skills, together with the talent to multitask, prioritise, and see tasks through to completion whilst demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail will be needed.
Experience in event or project management and running a youth ambassador scheme would be desirable but not essential.
