An exciting opportunity to develop in a broad-ranging role with a globally recognised leader in arts education.

The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is a global leader in dance education and training. Our mission is to inspire the world to dance. With a brand new purpose-built global headquarters in Battersea, London, the RAD has a presence in 85 countries and we have 36 offices around the world. Established in 1920, the RAD was granted a Royal Charter in 1935. The Academy is a registered charity, a higher education establishment and an awarding body.

We are looking for a proactive and tech-savvy Digital Communications Assistant to join the Marketing & Communications team. You will play a key role in the preparation and delivery of digital campaigns (particularly press and social media channels), as well as monitor and evaluate our digital communication.

This is a superb opportunity for an individual looking to further their experience of working in a digital communications role, ideally in an arts/membership/not-for-profit organisation and wishing to build on their development and learning.

Experience and knowledge of creating digital content, particularly video, a range of IT software including Microsoft Office applications, social media and web content management systems will be needed. Knowledge of Search Photoshop (or other media editing software) and experience of using MailChimp or similar email marketing packages would be an advantage but not essential.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, together with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and see tasks/projects through to completion, and handle conflicting demands under pressure are a must. Your willingness to work on a wide range of tasks demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail will be needed.

Flexibility to occasionally work beyond the normal full-time hours and to travel outside of the London area might be required.

An offer of employment will be subject to a clear Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

In return, we offer 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time staff), contributory pension scheme, access to the Perkbox discounts platform – including an Employee Assistance Programme, WeCare scheme, Bupa cash plan, life assurance, season ticket loan and cycle to work scheme. We also have a range of lunchtime activities including book club, dance classes, Pilates and a craft club.

Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

We particularly encourage and welcome applications from people with a disability, people from minority ethnic backgrounds, and people from the LGBTQIA+ community.
