Function: Youth Policy & Engagement
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Status: Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week. This post will involve working evenings and weekends.
The Roundhouse is currently looking for an experienced Senior Youth Support Worker to join the Youth Policy & Engagement team on a full-time basis.
Main purpose of the position
- To manage the Youth Support Worker and bank of casual youth support staff and work alongside the Learning & Youth Support Manager on projects that have an impact on our youth support offer.
- To support the Learning & Youth Support Manager to improve the Roundhouse’s youth support offer and develop more inclusive practices.
- To be responsible for supporting and encouraging a diverse range of young people aged 11-30 years to engage in creative opportunities at the Roundhouse.
- To work with colleagues across the Programmes team to ensure sufficient support is available to young people, in particular those with multiple and complex needs, that will enable them to develop resilience, knowledge and skills to improve their life chances.
