Roundhouse is one of the most incredible live performance spaces in the world where the biggest names in music, theatre, circus and spoken word take to the stage every day. The Roundhouse is also a hub of inspiration where artists and emerging talent create extraordinary work and where young people can grow creatively as individuals. By giving young people the chance to engage with the arts through our music, media and performance projects, we inspire them to reach further, dream bigger, and achieve more. Our music programme provides a platform for the artists of today and inspire the artists of tomorrow and opportunities that encourage young people to develop both artistically and personally.
Roundhouse is looking to recruit passionate and engaging music tutors to deliver on our creative programme for 11-25 year olds. We are looking for highly skilled practitioners who have a track record support young people to explore their creativity. We are especially keen to hear from tutors with a background in the following disciplines:
- Music production
Please note this is not a permanent position and is best suited to those working in a freelance capacity.
- Working with young people aged 11-25 in a variety of settings
- A high standard of training and/or professional experience
- Experience using music as a tool to develop personal skills as well as artistic talent
- Valid enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to undertake application
- Experience of taking part in the Roundhouse youth programme
- Experience of devising work with young people for public performances
The successful candidate will be required to have a current and acceptable DBS check due to the nature of the role.
