Full Time, Permanent
Based at MFY London Office, Somerset House
This is an exciting opportunity for a digital communications professional to join Music for Youth (MFY) at a crucial point in its development. MFY is an ambitious national arts organisation working with young people from all over the UK and plays an important role in showcasing the range of music making by young people to a variety of audiences. We aim to enhance our digital capabilities, including developing our web presence, social media engagement and digital content.
As the Digital & Communications Officer you will play a key role in supporting the marketing function of MFY and developing the organisation’s digital communications. With a keen interest in all things digital including the consumption of music, websites and social media you will support MFY to increase awareness of what we do and help us to achieve our vision. You will play an important role in supporting the delivery of the UK wide programme including our Regional Festival Series, five day National Festival in Birmingham and three spectacular Prom concerts at the Royal Albert Hall each year. You will represent MFY at our events, assisting with the hosting of VIP guests as part of the event delivery team.
Our ideal candidate will be a highly organised, unflappable digital enthusiast, who thrives under pressure, with relevant experience in communications, in coordinating an organisation’s digital platforms and in an arts organisation. In particular, you will have experience of updating websites, social media and using digital software to present key communications. You will have a passion for music and a strong sense of how to engage young people through digital means. You will be excited by the prospect of working for an organisation with an established reputation, which is developing new and innovative projects which you will help to make a reality.
