Archived: Engagement and Learning Manager

(Maternity cover, fixed term 13 months)

London Metropolitan Archives (LMA) is the largest civic archive in the UK with 100KM of archives on the history of London and Londoners.  We are seeking a maternity cover manager to lead our Engagement and Learning team, lead our public and community programmes, our formal learning offer and play a full part within the senior LMA management team.

You will have the opportunity to develop our grant funded work; taking a lead role in our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion programme and be a critical part of supporting the newly appointed LMA Director to develop the wider service.

If you have a strong track record of working with collections, and if you are driven by working with communities, including marginalised groups and individuals, and you have a willingness to learn about the history of Greater London we would love to hear from you.  Applicants will be educated to degree level and have at least 3 years relevant experience in a cultural organisation or archive service at a senior level.  Applicants will need to have an excellent track record in knowledge and understanding of National Lottery Heritage Fund processes and a willingness to learn the equivalent processes of other funders.
