We are at a unique moment in the organisation’s history, having just celebrated the 21st birthday of Greenwich+Docklands International Festival (GDIF), supported by a strong programme of activity throughout 2016, including in house productions, UK and international commissions, a large scale ceremony broadcast by Channel 4, alongside ongoing national strategic initiatives.
GDF is led by Artistic Director, Bradley Hemmings, who is also the organisation’s Chief Executive. Under his leadership GDF has built a growing reputation for high quality, inclusive outdoor work, which belies the modest scale of our administrative operation. At a time of growing national interest in outdoor theatre, the board is keen for the organisation to further realise its ambition and extend its contribution to British and international outdoor arts. We are therefore seeking a dynamic and creative Executive Director to work closely with Bradley to enable GDF to further realise its artistic potential, whilst ensuring the future sustainability and resilience of the organisation. This innovative leader will oversee the delivery of business planning, fundraising and strategy, ensuring that GDF thrives and grows both artistically and financially now and in the future.
We know that, with an ambitious and collaborative Executive Director, GDF’s already well established reputation for delivering stunning outdoor arts projects which transform communities, can be further extended and developed. If you think you are that person, we would like to hear from you.
