Set high on the dramatic cliffs of North Cornwall, Tintagel Castle welcomes over 250,000 visitors every year. One of our most significant and popular properties, the Operations Manager leads a team of 80 staff and volunteers delivering an exceptional visitor experience and generating the income needed to preserve it for generations to come.

Your volunteer, staff and contractor teams welcome all visitors to Tintagel Castle, maximising admissions income, promoting English Heritage Membership on site, ensuring cleanliness and excellent presentation of the site and generating sales in the shops and cafe. You’ll also be involved in engaging the local community with what’s happening on site as well as ensuring that the site itself and its assets are safe and secure.

We are looking for a visible leader with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop teams. You will have strong operational experience with sound budget management and business planning, preferably gained at a visitor attraction and you will have a talent for communication with visitors and colleagues. You will bring your experience of delivering excellent customer service and strong team management skills to this exciting leadership role. Multiple deadlines and priorities do not phase you due to your great organisational skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
