Invitation to TENDER – Dance Development Leaders Group (DDLG) Audacious Ambitious Infrastructure Project
Contract Length: February 2023 – June 2024
Fee: £6,000 (excluding of VAT)
DDLG Overview: Dance Development Leaders Group. The Dance Development Leaders Group is a network of dance professionals from across the West Midlands. (DDLG) Audacious Ambitious Infrastructure Project aims to:-
- strengthen the region wide network of dance participation leaders
- diversify the people and voices who lead the work of DDLG
- support growth in the dance sector and new business models
- enhance talent retention and development opportunities
- build digital opportunities to innovate and build new audiences for dance, especially young people.
Project Brief
The project has two distinct phases:
The first is a consultation and design phase, working with DDLG members to develop an approach to digital content and presence that is appropriate to the DDLG context. Once this is in place, the second phase involves digital content support and co-ordination, the nature of which will become clear through the first phase.
Specific tasks include:
- Develop the DDLG brand tone, language and guidelines and disseminate this to the DDLG membership.
- Create and service DDLG social media platforms including writing a strategy, collaborating with others and collating original and engaging material from DDLG membership
- Research and identify current and potential audiences
- Set up and maintain communication through digital communication methods including padlets, e-bulletins, e-flyers, websites
- Build relationships and work closely with other DDLG What Next workforce to ensure a joined-up approach and maximise potential
- Ensure access, inclusion and equality is built into all the work and approaches to mirror DDLG’s core values
- Deliver monthly updates, reports and presentations as required on work progress and impact
- Act as a key point of contact for liaison and co-ordination for digital content and profile
- Attend key meetings and events as required
- Maintain DDLG’s positive reputation and not bring it into dispute
Who we think you may be and what you will know:
- Aware of the arts sector, with a passion for dance and digital communications
- Knowledge and experience in participation, young people and working with multiple stakeholders
- Experience and knowledge of effective digital content and communication strategies and approaches
- Experience in and a passion for access and inclusion
- An excellent communicator with an ability to diversify tone to fit intended audience
- A proactive, creative approach
- Ability to work effectively independently and within a team
- Open, personable and warm with a genuine approach to work and people
- Ability to work through a combination of remote and in person working

Proposals will be assessed on relevant experience, suitability, ability to deliver within the timeframe, and value for money.
