The Barbican’s Development team, in collaboration with the Barbican Centre Trust, leads the Barbican Centre’s fundraising activities. Together we raise operating and capital income to sustain and develop world-class arts and learning for everyone.
The Barbican has a growing number of business members, sponsors and donors who value our partnerships and enjoy supporting world-class arts and learning. The Barbican is recruiting a Senior Corporate Partnership Manager to support the development and delivery in the area of sponsorship specifically. The post is a 9-month maternity cover (March to November 2020). The post holder will work collaboratively with the other Senior Corporate Partnerships Managers.
Working as part of the Development team is dynamic and wide-ranging. Team members work closely with Trustees and colleagues from across the Centre, making a difference in every part of the Barbican’s international programme.
The Senior Corporate Partnership Manager will have access to support from the Corporate Development Officer and Research and Writer as required.
Successful candidates will have a proven track record negotiating high-value cash and in-kind sponsorships. They will also have the proven ability to strategically plan, implement and evaluate programmes and look to find unique opportunities to develop sponsorship income streams. People with a high-level, engaging communication style will stand out, as will those who always aim for the highest standards of professionalism and customer service understanding the balance between commercial and artistic merit. The ability to work effectively with a range of people and strong staff management skills are preferred.
