KEY DETAILS:

We believe extraordinary moments connect and uplift us all. Our mission is to create opportunities for everyone through the performing arts. Our talented Marketing & Communications Manager is growing their family, so we’re looking for a fixed term employee or freelance contractor to support the team and keep our communications vibrant and strong.

You will lead on the marketing and communications strategy for Activate across our programmes. In everything we do, we have just two rules: Anything’s possible. And everyone’s invited. You will help us to deliver on our Audience Development Plan with a clear mind on who we are working with or trying to reach. Whilst developing plans for different areas of the organisation you must be confident in managing your time to also deliver marketing activity on a day-to-day basis. You will be adept at managing a team of creative Freelancers to help us break down barriers and reach the widest possible audiences.

Essential things we are looking for:

  • An experienced arts marketing professional who is eager to take up this challenge
  • We are open to approaches from Freelancers
  • You can be based anywhere, but we will want to meet you regularly in person
  • You will have 3 years+ experience in arts marketing, creating campaigns and making them happen
  • You will have enthusiasm, creativity and a passion for equal access to the arts for all
  • You’ll be able to work strategically whilst also delivering on all day-to-day tactical marketing activity
  • You’ll have a proven track record of delivering results and coming up with plans and ideas and persuading others to support these
  • You’ll be hands-on and likes getting stuck in with smaller tasks, a great project manager who is highly organised and adept at managing Freelancers
  • You’ll have confidence in maintaining our profile, experience in managing tight budgets and an eye for detail
  • You’ll be confident with IT, understanding data sets, audience profiling and digital marketing.

Things which would be useful for you to have but are not essential:

  • Experience of the charitable sector
  • Experience of working with artists
  • Knowledge of Dorset/ Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
